Software Focus Beginner2Advance is designed to re-cap the knowledge gained in the first two terms and build a foundation towards Advanced skills.
This software-specific PD program will ensure that you develop the Creative and Technical skills you need to facilitate high quality teaching and learning in your Graphics classes. Our highly competent Built Environment Software Experts will guide you through courses that align with the QCAA syllabus.
Technical Software to choose from:
- Autodesk Revit
- Autodesk Inventor
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Graphisoft ArchiCAD
The Beginner2Advance classes for each of the sofware is offered as a full day course. The classes are run based on booking numbers and a minimum of 4 teachers must booked for the class to move forward. The remaining software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SketchUp) will be available in the Term IV Beginner2Advance PD Masterclass.
Please RSVP and indicate which software you would like to focus on in your RSVP notes before the 30th June 2017.
Once the RSVP details are in, we will finalise the event detail and notify each RSVP attendee with the updated details.
9am to 12.30pm – Software Chosen Essentials for Teaching (Beginner)
(Recommended for teachers who have never used it or is a little familiar with or even if you are thinking about implementing it with students in the near future)
2pm to 5.30pm – Software Chosen Essentials for Teaching (Advance)
(Recommended for teachers who have mastered the basic skills of the programs and would now like to get to the next level – attending the beginner session will be adequate prior knowledge)
LEARNING OUTCOMES for each module:
KNOWLEDGE: Learn the latest tips, tricks and terminology for each software from industry professionals and build on your knowledge to master the software.
SKILLS: Complete task-based activities to develop and build on skills in the relevant software.
APPLICATION: Gain the ability to apply the skills gained (+ task based in class activities) at a Beginner and Advance level for the relevant software.
